Cooper ist wie auch [[Brad Wright]], [[Paul Mullie]], [[N. Cooper entwarf zu einem unbekanntem Zeitpunkt eine aus sechs Ausgaben bestehende Prequel-Comicreihe zu [[Stargate Universe]], in der er auch Elemente unterbringen wollte, die nicht in das Budget der Fernsehserie passten. Der Verlag ''American Mythology'', der seit 2016 auch Fortsetzungscomics zu [[Stargate Atlantis]] (siehe [[Merchandise:Stargate Atlantis: Season Six]]) und [[Stargate Universe]] (siehe [[Merchandise:Stargate Universe: Back to Destiny]]) veröffentlicht, wollte diese Entwürfe zeitweise als tatsächliche Comicreihe umsetzen (siehe [[Merchandise:Stargate Universe: Icarus]]).
 
Nach seiner Arbeit am Stargate-Franchise war Cooper auch zusammen mit einigen anderen Stargate-Crewmitgliedern als Produzent und Drehbuchautor bei der Miniserie [https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7319038/ Unspeakable] tätig, bei der [[Michael Shanks]] eine Hauptrolle spielte.
