Die '''Replikatoren''' sind ein Volk Maschinen mit künstlicher Intelligenz, die von der [[Antiker]]-[[Android|Androidin]] [[Reese]] erschaffen wurden und deren Ziel es ist sich zu reproduzieren. Sie sind eine große Einheit, die durch ein [[kollektives Bewusstsein#|Netzwerk]] über den [[Subraum]] verbunden ist.{{EpRef|SG1|6x12}}

Aufgebaut sind sie auf einer Technologie, die auf Kiron, den Menschen unbekannten Energiepartikeln,
basiert.{{EpRef|SG1|4x01}} Folglich bestehen sie aus kleinsten Blöcken eines Stoffs, die durch ein monopolares Energiefeld zusammengehalten werden. Ein einzelner Baustein wird also nur dann inaktiv, wenn er von dem restlichen Block getrennt wird, weshalb normale [[Energiewaffe|Energiewaffen]] wirkungslos bleiben und sie nur durch [[Projektilwaffe|Projektilwaffen]] zerstört werden können, wenn das Energiefeld komplett zerstört wird, sonst können sie sich wieder zusammensetzen. Deshalb ziehen Energiestrahlen oder Energiesignaturen sie an. Sie replizieren sich, indem sie sämtliche vorhandene Rohstoffe aufnehmen und Bausteine daraus formen. Danach setzten sie sich üblicherweise zu Spinnen bzw. Fluginsekten (Käfern) zusammen um Aufgaben zu erfüllen.

Wenn sie auf Zivilisationen treffen, nehmen sie auch deren Wissen und Technologie in sich auf. Sie sind höchst lern- und anpassungsfähig, und je größer ihre Zahl wird, desto mehr Wissen können sie aufnehmen.{{EpRef|SG1|8x17}} Ihre Widerstandsfähigkeit und ihr Aussehen hängen von den Eigenschaften des Reproduktionsmaterials ab.{{EpRef|SG1|4x01}}

====Herkunft====
Die [[Asgard]] entdeckten die Replikatoren vor langer Zeit auf einem abgelegenen Planeten und ihre Erschaffer traf man nicht an. [[Teal'c]] nimmt an, dass sie von den Replikatoren getötet wurden. Die Asgard nahmen einige auf ihr Schiff um sie zu studieren, doch zu spät erkannten die Asgard welche Gefahr die Replikatoren darstellten.{{EpRef|SG1|3x22}}
 
In {{Ep|SG1|5x19}} stellt sich heraus, dass die Replikatoren von dem [[Android|Androiden]] [[Reese (Person)|Reese]] geschaffen wurden. Sie betrachtete sie als Spielzeug und verlieh ihnen die Fähigkeit sich zu replizieren und zu verteidigen. Als sie die Kontrolle über die Replikatoren verlor, deaktivierte ihr Erschaffer sie, bevor die Replikatoren alle Bewohner ihres Heimatplaneten töteten.{{EpRef|SG1|5x19}}

Bei der ersten Erscheinung der Replikatoren handelt es sich bei ihnen ausschließlich um Käfer und Spinnen, auch tritt eine Art Königin auf, die neue Replikatoren herstellt.{{EpRef|SG1|3x22}}{{EpRef|SG1|4x01}}
 
Als SG-1 später in einer fremden Galaxie strandet, übernehmen die Replikatoren von einem Raumschiff aus [[Apophis|Apophis']] [[Mutterschiff]]. Das Schiff besitzt hochentwickelte Technik, wie Energiewaffen, doch es ist nicht klar, ob es ein aus Replikatoren besteht oder lediglich von ihnen übernommen wurde. Auch sind sie dazu in der Lage, sich zu einem gigantischen Insekt zusammenzufügen, das einen [[Goa'uld]]-[[Hyperraumantrieb]] achthundertfach verstärken kann.{{EpRef|SG1|5x01}}
 
Nachdem die Replikatoren von den [[Asgard]] in ein [[Zeiterweiterungsfeld]] gesperrt wurden, dass, durch einen Fehler, jedoch den gegenteiligen Zweck erfüllt, nämlich dass die Zeit innerhalb des Feldes schneller läuft, sind sie deutlich weiter fortgeschritten: Es treten zum ersten Mal [[Replikanten]] auf. Replikanten sind Replikatoren die sich zu einem menschlichen Abbild formiert haben.{{EpRef|SG1|6x12}} Der Replikant [[Fünfter]] war sogar dazu in der Lage, Gefühle zu empfinden, die anderen Replikatoren sahen das jedoch als Schwäche an.

Die '''Destiny-Besatzung''' geht aus einem Großteil der auf der [[Ikarus-Basis]] stationierten Soldaten, Zivilisten und Wissenschaftlern hervor.
 
==Zusammenstellung==
Da bei dem Angriff der [[Luzianer-Allianz]] auf die [[Ikarus-Basis]] alle Überlebenden auf die [[Destiny]] evakuiert wurden, ist die daraus entstandene Besatzung nicht im Voraus geplant oder zusammengestellt worden. Insgesamt sind über 80 Leute auf der Destiny gestrandet. Das Militär und [[Colonel]] [[Everett Young|Young]] hält die Kontrolle, jedoch gab es bereits einen Meuterungs-Versuch, die Destiny unter die Kontrolle der Zivilisten zu bringen.{{EpRef|SGU|1x12}} Anführer dieser Revolte waren [[Camile Wray]] und [[Doktor|Dr.]] [[Nicholas Rush|Rush]] mit Unterstützung der Wissenschaftler. Doch auch im militärischen Lager ist nicht jeder mit der Führung Youngs zufrieden: [[Colonel]] [[David Telford]], der die eigentliche Neunte-Chevron–Expedition anführen sollte, bei dem Angriff auf die Ikarus-Basis jedoch auf die Erde zurück gekommen war, versucht mehrere Male über das [[Antiker]]-[[Langstreckenkommunikationsgerät]] die Kontrolle über die Destiny zu erlangen.{{EpRef|SGU|1x03}}{{EpRef|SGU|1x04}}{{EpRef|SGU|1x07}}
